A concours is basically a car show. It is typically a judged event where cars are prepared to “as delivered” condition. Points are deducted from a maximum possible value based on condition and cleanliness.

Cars are separated by model, year and level of competition. Competition levels may include, but are not limited to:

Concours Types:

Full Concours

For those entries which are maintained at a high level. Concours entries will have the interior, exterior, storage compartment, engine compartment, undercarriage front and undercarriage rear.

Street

Intended for those entries which are used on an occasional basis. Street entries will receive the same evaluation as the Concours Division entries, with the exception of the undercarriage front and undercarriage rear.

Wash-n-Shine

Designed for entries which are driven on a regular basis. Only the interior, exterior and storage compartment will be judged.

Peoples Choice

There are also events known as "Peoples Choice" where people attending the event, not official judges, choose the car they like the best.
